Starting Off on the Right Foot

The beginning of the school year always marks an important time in our household. Everyone is putting their best foot forward to get things arranged, organized, planned, and a sense of excitement with appropriate anxiousness shows the positivity of another new beginning.  I realize this may not be the case in every household, but I want to help you experience the joy this always brings my family. There are many things we do to prepare for this time so that we can start off on the right foot! Setting the stage for back to school is really important. I'm not referring to the hype, meeting teachers, or even shopping (my favorite part😊). I'm talking about the conversations and the set up. You have to discuss what learning/homework time will look like at home. This is for virtual learning or homework/study time from the typical face-to-face learning. Conversations 1. No time for this!

  I've struggled with decorating for as long as I can remember, especially when it involves growing live plants! For the longest time the space in front of my house was literally a blank canvas!! Slowly, and 100% with my husbands help, we've worked to transform it. For the most part, the plants that get rained on and mother nature can grow them without my help, have survived and some have thrived - as long as we can keep the weeds away (well, eventually clear out the weeds again).  The front porch is a different story. I stay busy and during the school year, I mean busy all the time! Life happens around here. I'm sure you can relate! I don't have time to tend to plants on a weekly basis much less a daily basis! This year I found a solution! I have no idea why I had not thought of this before! It has truly transformed the way I feel when I step out on my front porch!
